Markson Pianos: Established 1910
Markson Pianos is a fourth generation family business, founded in 1910 by Louis Markson, a piano tuner and repairer with a reputation for exacting standards. He was joined by his two sons, Keith and Maurice soon after WWII and they opened branches in North West and South East London.
They continued restoring pianos for department stores, private homes and institutions, while introducing a pioneering piano hire scheme in the 1960s.

It was a beautiful light oak Hellas piano, golden in looks and in tone. Over the years it has encouraged a passion for music in all the members of our household and played its part at weddings,, christenings and every family Christmas. From the beginning, Marksons have treated us with consideration and courtesy. So much so that when we sadly decided it was time to return it to store, they offered to sell it to us at a very fair price. So we could keep our old friend forever.
