Yamaha Silent Grand Pianos

Yamaha have been producing ‘Silent’ pianos now for a number of years and their impressive SH2 and SC2 systems are available on all their uprights and grand models.

‘Silent’ piano systems allow the player to completely cut off the acoustic resonance of the instrument, whilst keeping the touch and feel of the piano keyboard. The sound is relayed to the player by means of very sophisticated sampling technology, through headphones. These systems are not intrusive or harm the original characteristics of the piano in anyway and once turned off, the instrument will sound exactly like any other piano.
